How It Works
Your complete guide to becoming a Homestay Global host
How to be become a host
Six simple steps to becoming a trusted host family
Initial Enquiry
Express your interest by completing our simple online application form.
Team Connection
You’ll be connected with a member of the homestay team who will reach out and schedule a call.
Phone Call
A relaxed call between the potential host and the team. We discuss what we offer, support for hosts, the types of children you could host, and an example schedule. Then we open up the call to get to know more about the host other than what it says on their application
Host Paperwork
After the call, the host will receive our host registration paperwork to read through and review and sign. This includes our contract and safeguarding policy.
Home Visit
On a date and time that is mutually beneficial, a member of the team visits the potential hosts home, meeting them in person and putting a face to a name. The member of our team will take photos of the relevant living spaces used by the students as well as discussing safeguarding and taking pictures of all relevant documents to start the DBS process.
DBS Check
Once documents are collected, the DBS process begins and you’re ready to host!
