Homestay Global is the dedicated homestay division under Global School Exchanges (GSE), connecting international students with host families across the UK.

Our hosts provide more than just accommodation and play a vital role in helping students feel welcome, supported, and immersed in everyday British life — while also benefiting from a meaningful cultural exchange and a competitive hosting payment.

We offer flexible hosting opportunities to suit your availability — from our popular 6-night short-term programmes, to 1–2 week speciality placements, and longer-term stays of four weeks or more.

Simple, Safe, and Fully Supported

From application to welcoming your first student, we’re with you every step of the way.

01 Apply to Become a Host

Complete a short application to join our network of trusted hosts. Then you’ll be invited to an introduction call with a member of the team to discuss programme offerings and learn more about the process.

02 Meeting You & Home Visit

Our safeguarding team completes DBS checks for student safety and visits your home to understand your environment. This is also a chance to answer any questions you have face to face.

03 Student Match & Confirmation

We pair you with students based on availability, preferences, and mutual compatibility.

04 Welcome & Support

A GSE coordinator is present throughout every programme, ensuring students and host families have ongoing support.The Homestay team is always on hand to provide guidance before, during and after each programme.
